ROASTED PINEAPPLE WITH SPICES AND RUM

Ingredients

🍍If you are one of those people who eat little fruit, this recipe will make you fall in love with them. A light and digestive dessert.

 

●     1 pinch of TERANA anise seed

●     1 oz of dark rum of your preference

●     1 pinch of cinnamon

●     1 ripe natural pineapple

●     2 tablespoons of brown sugar

●     1 tablespoon of butter

●     1 vanilla pod

Directions:

  1. Peel the pineapple, remove the crown and the base, then cut it in half and repeat until you have 8 slices. Then remove the heart (the middle part that is hard).

  2. Put the butter and the TERANA anise seed in a nonstick skillet and heat on low.

  3. Once melted, add the pineapple and turn it around, making sure that it is well coated with butter.

  4. Open the vanilla pod and with the tip of a knife, take out the seeds and spread them on the pineapple.

  5. Sprinkle it with cinnamon and continue turning it around from time to time.

  6. Add sugar, spreading it all over the pineapple.

  7. Before it starts to caramelize, add the rum. Let it cook, turning the pineapple around from time to time, until it is tender (but not too soft) and the liquor has evaporated. *There should be caramel in the bottom of the pan and around the fruit.
